Who we are

Detailed Trucks Pty Ltd (“Detailed Trucks”, “we”, “us”) provides onsite heavy vehicle and fleet washing services in Australia and is part of the Detailed Australia Group. We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy covers the website at detailedtrucks.com.au and the personal information we collect while providing our services.

What we collect

We collect personal information only where it is reasonably necessary to run our business. That includes:

  • Enquiry and quote details you give us through the quote form, by phone or by email: your name, company, email address, phone number, depot location and details of your fleet.
  • Customer and account details if you become a customer: contact people, site addresses, induction records, invoicing and payment details.
  • Website usage data collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, referring site, and interactions such as clicking a phone number or submitting a form.

We do not ask for sensitive information (such as health or biometric information) through this website, and we ask that you do not send it to us.

  • To schedule, deliver, invoice and support the services you have engaged us for, including site inductions and safety documentation.

  • Service providers who help us run our business, such as our customer relationship management platform (HubSpot), analytics and advertising platforms (Google, Meta), website hosting (Vercel), email and accounting providers. These providers may store information on servers outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union, and we take reasonable steps to ensure they handle it in line with this policy.
  • Other businesses in the Detailed Australia Group where that is necessary to deliver a service to you.
  • Regulators, law enforcement or other parties where the law requires or permits it.

How we keep it secure

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including access controls on our systems and use of reputable third-party providers. We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law, and then take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

Access and correction

You can ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time and will not charge you for making a request.

Complaints

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us first and we will investigate and respond in writing. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
